Drum dryers and Drum cooling devices
Atmospheric drum dryers are mainly suited for processing of temperature sensitive products in form of solutions, suspensions or pastes that are prone to decomposition during the drying process. Products of widely differing consistencies can be dried in the vacuum drum dryer, for example, liquids of different density and viscosity, as well as pulpy and pasty materials.

Drum coolers preferabe for crystallizing of saturated solutions as well as cooling and solidifying of melted products. The equipment consists of a stable housing containing the heated or cooled drums, the scraper blades as well as the infeed and discharge devices for the product. The wet product to be dried or cooled is applied to the rotating, steam-heated or cooled hollow drums in a thin, even layer. The moisture evaporates or the product solidifies and is then removed from the drum in a dry or crystallized state by means of a scraper. It comes off as a film, in scales or as a powder and can be discharged for further processing.
